Comparative Analytics to Reduce Emissions

GEDA is an award-winning, multifaceted Construction, Civil Engineering, and Development company based in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland. In 2025, GEDA successfully delivered the Derby Road Car Park, commencing on 21st October 2024 with a 16-week programme. The 1,525m2 brownfield site, comprised of a new car park providing 39 general spaces, 6 disability spaces, and 4 car charging points. For this project, GEDA’s fleet vans; subcontractors machinery; and hybrid welfare units, all operated using a combination of solar energy and HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) biofuel from RFAS suppliers, demonstrating their commitment to reducing carbon emissions. Caoimhin Robinson, Environmental Manager at GEDA said “This project presented us with a unique opportunity to explore ways to reduce our emissions. We wanted to understand the potential benefits of applying solar energy and HVO fuels to conventional diesel-intensive activities”.
