SustainIQ is delighted to be launching on the new Belfast Transport Hub with Translink

Translink is launching SustainIQ at their new Belfast Transport Hub project. Working with the Enabling and Main Contractors, they will use the software to report in real time on their environmental and social performance throughout all stages of the construction project.

This will include all waste management activities including recycling rates, energy and water usage, and the impact on biodiversity and the natural environment. SustainIQ will also track all social activity including community and volunteering initiatives, education engagements with local schools and colleges, and all charitable donations raised in the local area as a result of the project.

Andy Bates, Environmental Manager, Translink;

“The new flagship multi-million-pound Belfast Transport Hub project has achieved support across the local community, political representatives, businesses and city stakeholders. Together with the Contractors, we will use SustainIQ to report back on our sustainability performance with regards our Go Eco and Go Together strategy. Using real time reporting, we will make informed decisions to ensure we maximise the positive impact we can have in the local community during construction.”

Translink has invested in SustainIQ and is currently implementing it across their organisation. SustainIQ has aligned with Translink’s own corporate sustainability strategy. Translink’s corporate targets and objectives for Go Eco and Go Together have been fully integrated into the SustainIQ platform. The SustainIQ team are working closely with Translink and the Contractors to implement the many features available on the platform, including the site waste management plan and waste minimisation feature specific for the project in line with Translink's Go Eco strategy.

Maria Diffley – SustainIQ

“We are delighted to be working with Translink and very much looking forward to seeing SustainIQ in action at the new Belfast Transport Hub. The software is already being used on construction projects across the UK delivering real time sustainability reporting for contractors and their clients. Therefore, using SustainIQ, Translink will be able to set targets and objectives and track progress clearly demonstrating the positive impact the project is having in the local community from the early stages of construction”.
