Henry Brothers Midlands
Derbyshire
Alfreton Park school is a Local Authority-funded special school within Alfreton Park in Derbyshire. Pupils are aged from 2-19 years and have a range of learning difficulties, from severe to profound. The existing school buildings are being replaced on a new site adjacent to Alfreton Park, with a build of circa 3185m2. The new Alfreton Park Community Special school will provide accommodation for 100 pupils, allowing for some expansion of current student numbers in the future. Construction by Henry Brothers will be in two phases: 1) Design & build of the new school on the Highfield Plantation site with associated landscaping and car parking. 2) Demolition of the existing building, remediation and return of the site to open parkland and a new adventure playground.
