Henry Brothers Midlands
Alfreton Park school is a Local Authority-funded special school within Alfreton Park in Derbyshire. Pupils are aged from 2-19 years and have a range of learning difficulties, from severe to profound. The existing school buildings are being replaced on a new site adjacent to Alfreton Park, with a build of circa 3185m2. The new Alfreton Park Community Special school will provide accommodation for 100 pupils, allowing for some expansion of current student numbers in the future. Construction by Henry Brothers will be in two phases: 1) Design & build of the new school on the Highfield Plantation site with associated landscaping and car parking. 2) Demolition of the existing building, remediation and return of the site to open parkland and a new adventure playground.

We have fully embraced the efficiency and the wealth of data that SustainIQ provides us with across the 4 pillars. This enables us to monitor and measure our carbon, ensuring we are on track to meet our Net-Zero Carbon Agenda for the business. The transparency that the system offers provides us with a holistic overview, enabling the generation of simple reports which are used for everything from client requests to highlighting performance on our individual sites. Across our sites, we have worked with SustainIQ to bring recording of our Scope 3 emissions data more in line with our site procedures, enabling us to become fully paperless. The ease of recording our waste, water, electricity, and delivery miles data ensures that we can effectively meet our site and company KPIs
